ONAC begins Today! Start from the Mushers Hall and watch from checkpoints all around the trail! (Johan suggests Creamer’s Field, as the race begins at 1pm, and the first musher usually comes through Creamer’s about 20 minutes later, plus that’s where Johan will be broadcasting from on our sister station KFAR) The 80th running of the Open North American Championship Sled Dog Races!

Veteran musher Jessie Holmes powered into the White Mountain Checkpoint at 3:10 a.m. with 13 dogs in harness, claiming the Northrim Bank, Achieve More Award! 🎉
First presented in 2018, this award celebrates the teamwork, determination, and grit it takes to “Achieve More” on the Iditarod trail. Holmes will receive a $2,500 check and a special trophy that remains year-round at Iditarod headquarters. 🏆
